Billet Aluminum Supercharger 8 Rib Conversion Kit for Audi 3.0T Gen 2 (CREC) TSFI

Upgrade your Audi 3.0T supercharger stock 7 rib belt system with our precision-engineered 8 rib conversion kit. This upgrade includes the OEM tensioner mechanism with our 8 rib CNC-machined billet aluminum pulley, Griptec 8 rib upper pulley and an 8 rib Fluiddampr overdrive ring. Must be used with the Fluiddampr Crankshaft Master Pulley (part # 651201C). Compatible with all 3.0T Gen 2 (CREC) engines. This conversion kit requires you to file down an unused standoff on the engine block to remove interference (shown in images).

 

Disclaimer: Overspinning your supercharger introduces a certain amount of risk due to the extra stress added into the system. Please understand that this extra stress can lead to engine failure. Maximum rated RPM from Eaton for the 1320 supercharger is 20,000. To establish your superchargers RPM, calculate your pulley ratio and multiply that ratio by your maximum engine speed. For example, a 57 upper, with a 206 lower running a redline of 7200 would result in 26,020 supercharger rpm (6,000rpm over the rated limit) at redline. (206/57)*7200=26,020

 

Required Hardware/Modifications:

  1. Fluidampr Master Pulley:
    1. To install the lower Fluidampr overdrive ring, you must already have, or plan to install the Fluidampr master pulley. If you plan to install the master pulley, please purchase it from our website. Hardware is included. 
    2. Part number: 651201C
  2. Grind away unused standoff on the engine block.
    1. Depending on your pulley ratio, the extra casting from an unused standoff must be ground off.

Installation Note:

  • Installing the Griptec upper pulley on the Gen 1 (CREC) engine is very easy and straight forward. Just remove the 4 bolts holding the supercharger pulley on, install the Griptec pulley, and retighten the bolts per Griptec specifications. 

 

  • Installing the tensioner is exactly like OEM. Service mode is not needed, but highly recommended. 

 

  • Installing the overdrive ring is simple and can be done without putting the engine in service mode. Must be used with the Fluiddampr Crankshaft Master Pulley (part # 651201C).
