Our aluminum housing is designed to overcome two key flaws of the OEM plastic thermostat. The plastic tabs of the OEM thermostat are prone to breaking, causing the thermostat to fail closed, which can result in engine overheating and significant damage. Our 6061-T6 aluminum housing completely removes those tabs, significantly reducing the risk of thermostat failure. Additionally, aluminum can naturally withstand high temperature heat cycles for longer periods than plastic, making our thermostat more durable and reliable.

Thermostat/housing was replaced on my car at 84k km, went to change this in as preventative maintenance at 150k, and it turns out the plastic housing was leaking already!!! This gives so much needed peace of mind.
